Webbing Lifting Slings from Tensys Direct
Manufactured in the UK by Arinsdale Ltd, our high-quality webbing slings are used in a wide range of everyday lifting applications across multiple industry sectors (including construction, warehousing and logistics).
Each flat web sling is made from a single length of 100% polyester webbing and features reinforced becket eyes for enhanced durability. The double-ply construction provides an excellent strength-to-width ratio, making our duplex webbing slings a highly practical and economical choice for general-purpose lifting. All slings are colour-coded for easy working load limit (WLL) identification.
Capable of coping with temperatures from -40°C to +180°C, these polyester webbing slings offer dependable performance even in demanding work environments. To maximise service life, we recommend using wear sleeves if lifting loads with sharp edges or corners.
If you need assistance selecting the right webbing slings for your lifting application, please contact Tensys Direct and our team will be happy to help.
Webbing Sling FAQs
- What is a webbing sling?
A webbing sling (or web sling) is a type of lifting sling that's made of durable-yet-lightweight polyester webbing. These slings are flexible, they take up very little storage space when not in use, and they're easy to transport from one work site to the next.
- What do the different colours mean?
The colour indicates the sling's working load limit (WLL) – that is, the maximum weight it's designed to lift. For example, a yellow sling has a WLL of 3 tonnes, meaning that in optimal conditions, it can be used to lift loads weighing up to 3 tonnes.
Colour Working Load Limit Purple 1 tonne Green 2 tonnes Yellow 3 tonnes Grey 4 tonnes Red 5 tonnes Brown 6 tonnes Blue 8 tonnes Orange 12 tonnes

Our 'working days' are Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) and our cut-off time for orders is 3:30pm. So for example if you place an order at 4pm on a Friday, and the following Monday is a bank holiday, you should expect to receive your web slings on the Tuesday.
