Tensys® 1500kg ratchet straps are manufactured in the UK by Arinsdale Ltd using durable polyester webbing, robust tensioner components and sturdy endfittings.
The products in this category are commonly called '1500kg ratchet straps', but strictly speaking, minimum breaking force should be measured in decanewtons (daN) rather than kilograms. 1500daN is approximately equivalent to 1500kg (1.5 tonnes) of force.
A ratchet strap's minimum breaking force (BFmin) tells you the point at which the strap will fail under test conditions when brand new. Do not treat this as an actual working limit; instead, use the lashing capacity (LC) shown on the product label to determine whether a given ratchet strap is appropriate for your needs. BFmin and LC are two separate measurements, and the lashing capacity will be lower than the minimum breaking force.
