Cambuckles

Cambuckles are quick-release, hand-tightened fastening devices, usually consisting of a buckle with a spring-loaded lever that grips webbing, allowing for fast adjustment when securing various items for transport. Cambuckles are an invaluable tool when it comes to securing loads and delicate items like furniture, antiques or surfboards as they do not have large metal handles that could damage cargo.

How to Use Cambuckles

  1. Attach the hook on the short end of the strap to an anchor point on your vehicle or trailer. 
  2. Pass the long end of the webbing up through the bottom slot of the buckle and pull it through, ensuring the teeth of the cambuckle are facing the webbing. 
  3. Wrap the strap over your cargo and secure the other hook to an anchor point.
  4. Press the thumb lever down, pull the loose end of the webbing to tighten, then release the lever to lock the strap.
  5. Tie down or secure any excess webbing to prevent it from flapping during transit.
