  • How do endless ratchet straps work?

  • Endless ratchet straps are ratcheting tie-down straps that form an endless loop around a load in order to keep it secure.

    To use an endless ratchet strap, you will first need to take the end of the webbing and feed it through the centre slot of the ratchet mechanism. You can then wrap the strap all the way around your cargo, creating an endless loop.

    Then, pull the free end of the strap to remove slack and achieve the desired tension, before cranking the ratchet handle up and down to tighten the strap further. Once you're happy with how secure your load is, lower the ratchet handle to lock it in place.

  • How much force can these endless ratchet straps take?

  • Lashing capacity (LC) and minimum breaking force (BFmin) vary from one strap to the next.   • Before storing your endless ratchet straps, make sure the strap is clean and completely dry. You will then want to roll the strap into a compact bundle by threading the tail end through the buckle and wrapping it around the rolled strap.

    You should then store this roll in a cool, dry place where it won't be exposed to direct sunlight.
