Round Sling FAQs
- What is a round sling?
A round sling is a type of lifting sling that consists of a continuously-wound hank of 100% polyester yarn within a seamless 100% polyester non-loadbearing outer layer. These endless slings are ideal for lifting cylindrical or slippery loads, and because they're soft and flexible, they can be a great alternative to chain slings if you're moving fragile objects.
- What do the different colours mean?
The colour indicates the sling's working load limit (WLL) – that is, the maximum weight it's designed to lift. For example, a yellow sling has a WLL of 3 tonnes, meaning that in optimal conditions, it can be used to lift loads weighing up to 3 tonnes.
Colour Working Load Limit Purple 1 tonne Green 2 tonnes Yellow 3 tonnes Grey 4 tonnes Red 5 tonnes Brown 6 tonnes Blue 8 tonnes Orange 12 tonnes
